Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of
executives in business and the professions working together to
advance the status of women with more than 33,000 members in
1,254 clubs in 67 countries.
Zontians volunteer their time, talents and energy to local and
international service programs and projects aimed at advancing the
status of women worldwide. The
Zonta International Foundation,
Zonta International's philanthropic arm, further supports these
efforts by raising and distributing funds for Zonta International
programs.
Since 1919, Zonta Club members have worked to improve the legal,
political, economic, health and professional status of women
throughout the world.
One woman at a time...
One community at a time.
Our persistence knows no borders. Our global network reaches
hundreds of thousands of women and children...for by helping 250,000
women, 1,000,000 children benefit.
For more than eighty years, Zonta has served as a model for global
philanthropy - supporting education, leadership, health and
international service initiatives benefiting more than 2 million
women in over 26 countries.

ZISVAW POLICY STATEMENT of Zonta International
Unfortunately, violence against women exists worldwide. A manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women, violence is one of the crucial social mechanisms by which women are forced into subordinate positions.
Every woman has a right to live free of gender-based violence. Zonta International recognizes that the human rights of women and girls are an inalienable, integral and indivisible part of universal human rights, and recognizes the need to promote and protect all human rights of women and girls.
